Seashells

Long time ago, my DH made this one. We found the pattern in a magazine and just loved the colors of it. He started it and it took him a few months to finished it, but it's so perfect. We had it framed and now it will hang in our oldest son's room. The thread used is Anchor, when we started cross stitching, we only had Anchor thread.

cleaning up....baskets

With all the small things in his room, my son really needed some storagespace. With some scraps, I've made two baskets for his stuff, I love scraps, would make everything with scraps. You can find online so many good tutorials...

The other basket is my first try of crochet, I'm no expert and this really started with a mistake, luckly for me...it worked out fine.

Fish, Fish....and more fish....

I love blue, and my son too. He also loves the sea and that made it easy to make a quilt for his room. I took all the blue leftovers and design this quilt. The applique is raw-edges, I'm still learning to make a perfect applique. I loved how it turned out. For the cushions I used a pattern of ships and it's a perfect fit.

The fun part of the quilt was to make sure that it went from light too dark colors each row, and it did. For the back I used some flannel so it's very soft underneath it.
